The World Business Council for Sustainable Development in its publication "Making Good Business Sense" by Lord Holme and Richard Watts, used the following definition:
"Corporate Social Responsibility is the continuing commitment by business to behave ethically and contribute to economic development while improving the quality of life of the workforce and their families as well as of the local community and society at large"
Learn-it’s commitment to the above covers several strands as outlined below:
Learn-it has recently achieved Carbon Neutral Company status by measuring, reducing and offsetting the CO2 impact of our business operations.
Learn-it is involved in a long-term project to aid the success of Social and Voluntary Enterprises by fully exploiting their ICT technology. This is being enabled through the provision of fully funded training and coaching for their staff and is co-ordinated in partnership with Social Firms Scotland and Scottish Business in the Community.
